MEET THE MSA FAMILY

Our team truly does sit at the heart of MSA Safety. From our head office on the edge of the New Forest, we provide a variety of health and safety training and consultancy services, all backed by an exceptional level of customer service.

The Team

Matthew Stevens
– Director

Matt is one of our two Directors and is the founder of MSA Safety. His main responsibilities include making sure the entire team takes care to look after our clients, our staff… and our marbles! Matt is also our senior CDM Consultant and a registered member of APS.

When I’m not working…
I’m drumming in a local pub band at festivals and private parties, enjoying family BBQs and spending quality time with good people over a good meal.

My ultimate dinner party guest…
It would have to be Keith Moon. I reckon a few drumming stories would be shared over a (few more!) drinks. Of course, any other drummers – historic or living – would be welcome!

Alison Clover Kinna
– Director

Alison is the second Director here at MSA Safety, and when she isn’t keeping the other kids in the office under control you’ll find her managing and developing current and new business for the company. Alison has a background in HR, business development and since joining MSA in 2017 she has seen the business transform and is very proud of the team and all they have achieved.

When I’m not working…
I love to paint, go on canal boat and camper van adventures and (of course!) you will find me walking our Sprocker Poppy in the lovely New Forest.

My ultimate dinner party guest…
I’d have to say Meghan Markle; I want to make my own mind up!

Andy Strugnell
– Senior Health and Safety Advisor

Andy is our Senior Health and Safety Advisor, and CITB accredited trainer. With over 28 years of construction safety and project experience under his belt, he really is an asset to the company. His main responsibilities include supporting our clients with professional health and safety advice, CDM support, risk assessments, site inspections, workplace audits, fire risk assessments and teaching many of our health and safety training courses.

When I’m not working…
I play the guitar… badly, it’s the only way I know!

My ultimate dinner party guest…
Easy – Bob Mortimer, every time. I could listen to his nonsense all day.

Bex Churchill
– Business Administrator

Bex is our Business Administrator and supports the business with our ongoing client management; this includes providing comprehensive CHAS, SMAS, SafeContractor and Constructionline advice and assisting training requirements and booking (from enquiry, to invoicing, to certification). She also assists with marketing campaigns and social media activity, helping get the MSA Safety message out there to as many people and businesses as possible.

When I’m not working…
You’ll find me out for dinner with family or good friends, or off on a short staycation with my Husband.

My ultimate dinner party guest…
Tom Hanks, 100%. I just KNOW we would be the best of friends!

William Vega
– Safety and Scaffold Inspector

William is our registered Advanced Scaffold Inspector. With years of experience behind him, William spends his days assessing an enormous range of scaffold designs – from basic all the way through to highly complex designs and carrying out site safety inspections in central London.

When I’m not working…
I am playing and making memories with my family.

My ultimate dinner party guest…
Nikolas Telsa.

Douglas Ormandy
– Health and Safety Advisor

Based in Luton, Doug has previously worked within construction project management, including Heathrow’s Terminal 5 development, and in 2006 he moved into the role of Health and Safety advisor.

When I’m not working…
You’ll find me in the gym or relaxing in the garden.

My ultimate dinner party guest…
Frank Sinatra

MSA came highly recommended. Matt and his team have and continue to be invaluable in terms of training and resources which is a prerequisite and a necessity within the construction industry. Thank you for your continued support!

‘The courses provided by MSA Safety have been well organised, professional and excellent value for money.’

The flexibility they have given us has been very welcome as we often run bulk courses for our staff, both online and in our own premises.  We recommend this company regularly when asked who our training provider is.

When circumstances changed during Covid-19 they acted upon this quickly and this enabled companies to maintain and renew their qualifications remotely
