Ask us a question…
Were you aware that is the scaffold user’s/hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all scaffolding is regularly inspected by a quality competent person?
An inspection is required following installation and before the scaffold is used for the first time.
Inspections must be carried out every seven days for the duration of use.
Additional inspections must also be carried out following adverse weather, including high winds and floods, or if the scaffold is struck and potential damage occurs, which may jeopardise the safety of the structure.
All scaffolding inspections should be carried out by a competent person whose combination of knowledge, training and experience is appropriate for the type and complexity of the scaffold.
Following a Scaffold Inspection visit, you should receive a full report highlighting any areas for concern or risk to safety, along with the corrective action required, timescales and an indication as to the severity of the risk.
All inspections are carried out by a qualified and experienced Advanced Scaffold Inspector.
